The lecture-performance will focus on the ongoing collaborations Loré has with Peter Thoegersen rehearsing and performing his polymicrotonal and polyrhythmic compositions and she will also talk about her vocal work work with the polytemporal compositions of Conlon Nancarrol.

Loré Lixenberg is the leader of The Voice Party, an original mix of of a political party and an opera in opera, which ran in the 2019 elections in the United Kingdom. The Voice Party is the only party you can’t join, it’s the one that joins you. Lixenberg in the spheres of physical and improvised theatre with Simon McBurney (Theatre de Complicite) and also in comedy with Richard Thomas, Stewart Lee and Simon Munnery (Kluuub Zarathustra, Jerry Springer the Opera, Attention Scum, The Kombat Operas BBC2). She has performed worldwide in opera houses, sound installations, galleries, festivals and museums, interpreting the works of composers and artists such as Karlheinz Stockhausen, György Ligeti, Pauline Oliveros, Denis Dufour, Trevor Wishart, Frédéric Acquaviva, David Toop, Earle Brown, Georges Aperghis, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Harrison Birtwistle, Phill Niblock or Isidore Isou, Bernard

Heidsieck, Georgina Starr, Bruce Mclean, Stelarc, Imogen Sidworthy, Janice Kerbal…

As a maker, she explores participatory practices including the intersection between the digital and analog worlds and their possibilities to create new operatic forms. Among her works include : Bird, Panic Room (The Singterviews), the real-time opera Prêt à Chanter, the ‘opera’ dating app SINGLR for “extended vocals” and

theVoicePartyOperaBotFarmi[myFuryIsMyMuse] which won the Phonurgia Nova prize in 2021 for Radio Art. also in 2021 she was nominated for the Prix Heidsieck / Centre Pompidou for her compositions. She has published the artist’s book Memory Maps, the CD The Afternoon of a phone as well as numerous DVDs, CDs and vinyls ,including the very first recording of Cage’s Song Books for the Sub rosa label. Her recent project NancarrowKaraoke where she transcribed Nancarrows polyrhythmic and microtonal works for player piano for her own voice was publsihed by the Dutch label De Player. She directs La Plaque Tournante and the CRU magazine with Frédéric Acquaviva (Berlin / Paris / London).
