Bio:

Stephen Webb is an interdisciplinary performance maker based in Finland. His practice is rooted in task and score-based choreography,

influenced by the pedagogical models of Goat Island Theatre and La Pocha Nostra, which he learned while living in Chicago. Current projects include his series of solo performances across Finland, and the large-scale theatre work Program Selection made in collaboration with pianist and performer Robert Fleitz—examining themes of belonging and personal biography within the art world.
Webb studied literature, live art, and music. He did studies in performance at the UniArts Academy of Theatre and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work bridges diverse disciplines, creating spaces for surreal abstraction while maintaining human connection through comical performances that aim to bridge and not alienate.

Work:

This solo performance, my first in Finland, is an exploration of vulnerability. Inspired by my need to address the things I often distort, conceal, or deflect with humor, I invite you to cook a simple meal with me as I open up. Expect a funky, fun, and cathartic journey.
